Yoka & The SugarBeats

*press release*

The end of 2018 also marks the end of Yoka & The SugarBeats plus sister band Electric Parade.

As a band we have decided not to continue in 2019. There has not been a fall out and we will continue our friendship, the band has simply run its course. We would like to thank all fans, venues, promotors and DJ's for their support. We've had fun times!

Our last gig will be NYE 2018 at The Hare in Tunbridge Wells

(plus a private function in January)

You can still enjoy Yoka and Ray's acoustic gigs as they will now focus more on their duo work and songwriting. After almost ten years fronting bands on the blues scene Yoka is ready to take a break. She is looking forward to new projects exploring opportunities in the jazz, country and theatre world. Ray is looking forward to playing bass with the Gamma - Rays an Alt Rock/ Americana Band starting in January and is available as a (dep) bassist or guitarist for local bands (Kent). Yoka and Ray as a duo are of course still available for support slots and acoustic gigs.

Our rhythm section Spencer and Andy will continue to play with the fantastic Voodoo Sheiks and other individual projects.

Our apologies to those who have booked us in 2019. Thank you for your support and believing in our music. If needed we can help finding replacement acts for already booked gigs.

We wish you all a good Christmas and a rocking 2019!

X Yoka, Ray, Andy, Spencer and Papas.
